A sudden fire broke out in an Air India Express flight going from Bengaluru to Kochi. Due to which emergency landing of the flight had to be done. After the emergency landing, all 179 passengers and 6 crew members on board the flight were evacuated safely.
Fire broke out immediately after take off
It is being told that the flight caught fire immediately after take off. As soon as the pilot got information about the fire in the flight, he made an emergency landing. The pilot made the landing at around 11:15. After which the passengers were quickly deboarded from the flight.
The engine was on fire
After the incident, Air India Express spokesperson said - According to the investigation so far, the fire broke out in the right engine of the flight. Ground service also saw flames during landing. The cause of the fire has not been known yet.
Airlines ordered investigation
The airlines said that orders have been given to investigate the matter. Complete information will be given only after investigation. We regret the inconvenience caused to passengers due to the incident. We are making other arrangements to send him to Kochi.
