Two army personnel were seriously injured in a landmine blast near the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir. The blast occurred when a contingent of soldiers was patrolling the LoC. Both the soldiers have been admitted to the Army Hospital, where their condition is stable. The army is investigating how this explosion happened.
Earlier, security forces killed three terrorists in Kupwara. Two of them were killed in Machil and one in Tangdhar. Officials said that suspicious activity was reported in Rajouri. After this, the security forces started a search operation.

According to officials, the terrorists killed were associated with Hizbul Mujahideen. One of them was also the local commander of a terrorist organization linked to Pakistan.
26 June - On 26 June, security forces killed three terrorists in Gandoh area of Doda district. After receiving information about 2-3 terrorists hiding in the area in the morning, the police and army launched a search operation, after which the encounter started at 9.50 am.
