The Punjab Education Department has issued strict orders to schools regarding mid-day meal. The Education Department said that it has come to their notice that in many schools, mid-day meal is not being given according to the menu. Apart from this, fake attendance of students is being shown. Regarding this, guidelines have been given to the schools to ensure the menu of mid-day meal. If the guidelines are violated, strict action will be taken.
The menu of mid-day meal is as follows
Monday: Dal- roti and seasonal seasonal vegetable
Tuesday: Rajmaha- rice
Wednesday: Black chickpeas/roti-chhole/puri
Thursday: Pakora kadhi- rice and seasonal fruit
Friday: Seasonal vegetable and roti
Saturday: Rajmaha-chickpea dal and rice
Kheer will also be given to the children
Along with this, kheer will also be given to the children once a week. At the same time, schools have also been told not to serve the same dal to students again and again in a week. The department has clarified that food should be served hot to the children. There should be no problem in eating it.
