If you live nearby, you will not have to pay toll
If you live near the toll, then NHAI has given you exemption. According to this exemption, you will not have to pay toll. If your house is located within 20 kilometers of the toll, then you can travel without paying toll, although you will have to give proof of this. As proof, you can show any government document of your home address. If you are unable to show proof of your house being within 20 kilometers, then you will have to pay toll.
Government vehicles also get exemption
Apart from this, let us tell you that government official vehicles such as police vehicles, ambulances, fire brigade also do not have to pay toll tax. Apart from this, vehicles of Indian Army, Navy and Air Force also do not have to pay toll tax. Not only this, NDRF vehicles engaged in relief and rescue work during disasters also do not have to pay toll tax.
