No leave or station leave will be given to any officer or employee during the preparation of Gram Panchayat elections in Punjab. This decision has been taken in view of the election 2024. Due to which the District Education Officer (Secondary) has issued instructions to all the school heads and given clear instructions.
District Education Officer said this
These instructions have been issued under the orders of Additional Deputy Commissioner Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) and Additional District Electoral Officer. The District Education Officer said that the leave of the officers or employees who have already taken leave should be canceled with immediate effect.
This step has been taken to ensure that there is no hindrance in the Panchayat election process and all preparations are completed on time. Also, all school heads have been ordered to strictly follow these instructions.
Strict action will be taken against the officers for violation
Also, during the election process, the employees of the Education Department can also be deployed in different election duties. Due to this, they have been advised to always be ready at their respective workplaces. Instructions have also been given to take strict action against officers and employees who violate these orders, which makes it clear that no laxity will be tolerated by the district administration in conducting the election process smoothly and correctly.
