Tata's airline company Air India is going to get a big investment. After the merger of Vistara, Singapore Airlines (SIA) is going to make an additional investment of Rs 3194.5 crore in Air India. The merger of Air India and Vistara Airlines will be completed on November 11. After this merger, Singapore Airlines will invest Rs 3195 crore in Air India. Let us tell you that after this merger, Singapore Airlines will have 25.1 percent stake in the extended Air India.
Airline has 49 percent stake and Tata Group has 51 percent stake
The merger of Air India and Vistara was announced on 29 November 2022. It will be completed by November 11, after this merger Singapore Airlines is going to make additional investment in Air India. Let us tell you that Vistara took its first flight in January 2015. Tata Group and Singapore Airlines started this airline as a joint venture. In which Singapore Airlines had a 49 percent stake and the remaining 51 percent stake was of Tata Group.
