Entry of tractor-trucks banned in Uttarakhand for Kedarnath-Gangotri Chardham Yatra 2024. Instructions have been given to take strict action against such vehicles. On Tuesday, Transport Secretary Arvind Singh Hyanki has issued an advisory to the Transport Commissioners of UP, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh for Chardham Yatra.
It was clarified that music system is banned in cabs and maxis. It was also said that heavy vehicles and tractor trolleys should not be allowed in the Chardham Yatra. Here the transport department can seize them.
The maximum width of the vehicle on mountain road is 2570 mm, height is 4000 mm and maximum length is 8750 mm. Vehicles larger than this will not be allowed entry. Along with this, there has been a ban on carrying big batteries and LPG cylinders in vehicles.

Green and trip card will be mandatory for vehicles coming to Chardham.
Vehicle operators can apply online at greencard.uk.govin. Tape recorder, CD player, radio will be prohibited while running both cards in motor cab/maxi cab.
In the tourist bus, tape recorder, CD player, radio can be operated under the control of the conductor.
To prevent garbage from spreading on the Chardham Yatra route, it is mandatory to install dustbin in every vehicle.
