More than 50 pilgrims have died since the beginning of Chardham Yatra in Uttarakhand. The commissioner has given this information. Most of the passengers were 60 plus and the cause of their death was said to be heart attack. Of these, 3 devotees have died in Gangotri, 12 in Yamunotri, 14 in Badrinath and 23 in Kedarnath.
Arrangements broke down due to increase in crowd
Let us tell you that due to the crowd reaching beyond the capacity, the arrangements for Chardham Yatra in the state have broken down. Such a situation has arisen because a large number of passengers are arriving without even registering. Issuing guidelines in this regard, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi said that strict action will be taken if the rules are not followed.
Ban on making reels and videos
Along with this he said that a large number of devotees are coming for Chardham Yatra. Meanwhile, many people are also arriving who are coming not with faith but just to roam around and some of their actions are hurting the faith of the people. He said that special attention needs to be paid to ensure that no one hurts the faith here. Do not hurt anyone's religious sentiments. A ban has been imposed on making reels or videos within 50 meters of the Charon Dham temples.
More than 9 lakh people visited Chardham
The Commissioner said that on May 10, 2024, the doors of Shri Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri and on May 12, Shri Badrinath were opened for the devotees. Since then, till May 23, 2024, a total of 09 lakh 67 thousand 302 devotees have visited the four Dhams. 01 lakh 79 thousand 932 devotees have visited Yamunotri Dham, 01 lakh 66 thousand 191 in Gangotri Dham, 04 lakh 24 thousand 242 in Shri Kedarnath and 01 lakh 96 thousand 937 devotees have visited Badrinath Dham.
Information given on helicopter emergency landing
Garhwal Commissioner informed that a helicopter carrying 7 people including the pilot faced a technical fault in Kedarnath, Uttarakhand. Due to which an emergency landing full of passengers had to be done in Kedarnath Dham and a major accident was averted. After which the helicopter landed a few meters away from the helipad near the Himalayan Temple.
He also said that all the seven people on board the plane including the pilot are safe. Due to the wisdom of the helicopter pilot, the lives of many pilgrims could be saved.
Registration closed till 31st May
Let us tell you that Char Dham Yatra starts from 10th May. However, there is a ban on offline registration for Char Dham Yatra till 31st May. Due to which there are thousands of devotees who have been waiting for their registration in Rishikesh-Haridwar for weeks.But their registration is not possible. Devotees say that for weeks they were hoping that they would have the darshan of Baba Kedarnath, but this hope is getting shattered.
The number of horses and mules was fixed
Now the number of horses and mules for Yamunotri Dham Yatra has also been fixed. Horses, mules and charioteers will go from Jankichatti to Yamunotri. The police have taken this decision keeping in mind crowd control and safety of passengers.Horses and mules will run from Jankichatti to Yamunotri and from Yamunotri to Jankichatti from 4 am to 5 pm. During this period 800 horses and mules will run.
More than 25 thousand devotees are arriving every day
At present, more than 25 thousand devotees are reaching the Dham every day. 9 helicopter companies are continuously deployed to take the devotees to the Dham.
