This year the cold has made people miserable. Recently, due to hailstorm and snowfall in the hilly areas, the cold has increased again in Punjab. There is still no hope of relief from this as the Meteorological Department has issued a rain warning for Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab.
Weather will create havoc within 60 hours
According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), a new western disturbance is coming in the Himalayan areas due to which there is a possibility of rain and snowfall. The Meteorological Department believes that within the next 60 hours, there is going to be heavy snowfall including strong thunderstorms and rain in the states of North India.
Storm creating havoc
Along with this, the Meteorological Department has also issued a snowfall warning for Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. There is a possibility of rain in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand in the next 2-3 days. It will be cloudy in Delhi, Noida and NCR today and there is a possibility of rain. Apart from this, there is a possibility of hailstorm and storm in Jharkhand, Sikkim and many parts of North-East.
Light rain has been occurring in some areas of Delhi for the last 3 days. According to Skymet Weather, a weather information website, there is a possibility of a new western disturbance in the western Himalayan area today. Due to this, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in the entire Western Himalayan area from today till the next 2 days.
During the last 24 hours, there was light rain and snowfall in different areas in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. Meanwhile, light rain occurred at some places and heavy rain at some places over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, East and West Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, coastal Ganga districts of West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar.
