Of course the weather has cleared in Punjab and the sun is shining during the day, but the mercury is still quite low at night. Therefore, the Meteorological Department has once again issued a yellow cold alert for Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh. According to the Meteorological Department, apart from Himachal Pradesh, the effect of snowfall is being seen on the plains in Jammu-Kashmir and Uttarakhand. The Meteorological Department believes that the minimum temperature will drop in the next few days.
Meteorological Department issued yellow alert
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert regarding strong icy winds along with sunshine on Wednesday. Due to which fluctuations in temperature can also be seen. Whereas the weather is expected to remain fine for the remaining days.
According to the department, due to snowfall in the mountains, the minimum temperature in Punjab has been recorded 1.7 degrees below normal. Last month the night temperature which was being recorded around 8 degrees, has now reached around 5 degrees. There is good sunshine during the day, but the nights are getting cold.
Whereas the minimum temperature in Haryana is currently close to normal, but it will also decline in the coming days. Here too the winds coming from the mountains will bring down the temperature due to snowfall. Same is the situation in Chandigarh also.
Weather condition of major cities of Punjab
According to the Meteorological Department, the sky will be clear and sunny in Chandigarh. At least the temperature will drop. The temperature can range between 6 to 19 degrees. It will be sunny in Amritsar. The temperature is likely to remain between 5 to 17 degrees. The sky will be clear in Jalandhar.
Similarly, the weather will remain clear in Ludhiana also. At least the temperature will drop. The temperature can range between 5 to 18 degrees. It will be sunny in Mohali. The temperature is likely to remain between 7 to 18 degrees. At least the temperature will drop.
