Due to the severe cold in Haryana, the government has extended the holidays of classes 1 to 5. Now children will have holidays till 27th January. This decision has been taken in view of winter and dense fog. Education Minister Kanwarpal Gurjar gave this information.
In Haryana, holidays were declared from 1st to 15th January by the Education Department. After that, in view of the cold, the holidays were extended till January 20.
Then on 21st January there was a holiday on Sunday and on 22nd January there was a holiday due to Ramlala Pran Pratishtha programme. After this, schools opened in Haryana on Tuesday.
Schools opened on Tuesday after a 22-day holiday. But due to the outbreak of cold, the government again announced extension of holidays.
The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert of cold in six districts of Haryana. Apart from this, Orange alert has been issued in the remaining districts. Red alert has been issued in Karnal, Ambala, Sirsa, Kurukshetra, Kaithal and Fatehabad. In Haryana's Hisar, the maximum temperature was recorded at 14.5 and 4.9, Fatehabad at 12.9 and 4.6, Sirsa at 15.8-4.6 and Bhiwani at 14.7 and minimum at 4.9 degrees.
