The weather has become cold due to rain in some districts of Punjab and Chandigarh. The maximum temperature of the state has dropped by 4.2 degrees. Today (Friday), there may be rain at some places in 16 districts of the state. These districts include Fazilka, Muktsar, Ferozepur, Faridkot, Tarn Taran, Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Rupnagar, and Fatehgarh Sahib Rupnagar, Mohali. However, there is no alert of any kind.
Chandigarh recorded 43 mm of rain on Thursday. During this time, there has also been a problem of water logging at many places. So far 752.3 mm of rain has occurred in the city. During this time, 3.5 mm rain fell in Mohali, 0.5 mm in Ropar, 6.5 mm in Rupnagar, 2.0 mm in Patiala and 1.0 mm in Pathankot. 37.2 mm of rain has been recorded in the state. Due to the cyclonic cycle, heavy rains are occurring in many parts of the country including North India.
Weather will change in Haryana even today
Monsoon is still active in Haryana. Due to which there are chances of change in weather in 13 districts of the state even today. These include Panchkula, Ambala, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Sonipat, Panipat, Yamunanagar, Jhajjar, Gurugram, Rewari, Faridabad, Palwal and Mewat districts. These districts will be cloudy, light drizzle is also possible.
Bus stuck in river in Gujarat
On Thursday, a bus carrying pilgrims from Tamil Nadu got stuck on the bridge in Bhavnagar district of Gujarat. Due to floods in a river, water had come on the bridge. After which the rescue operation rescued everyone after a lot of effort. There were 29 people in the bus. A truck that went to evacuate the people also got stuck in the river. After which the NDRF and SDRF teams rescued everyone after about 8 hours of effort.
