Teams of SDRF and NDRF are present at the spot for rescue. 225 army personnel have been sent to Wayanad from Kannur. It also includes the medical team. Apart from this, 2 helicopters of Air Force are also engaged in rescue operation.
Chance of heavy rain today
Landslides have occurred in 4 villages of Wayanad - Mundakkai, Churalmala, Attamala and Nulpuzha. Due to which 4 villages were washed away. Houses, bridges, roads and vehicles were also washed away. At the same time, the weather department has issued a red alert for rain in Kozhikode, Mallapuram and Kasaragod apart from Wayanad. That is, there is a possibility of heavy rain here today.
