Winter holidays have been declared in all the schools of Haryana. These holidays will be from 1 to 15 January. Schools will open on 16 January. The Directorate of School Education has issued orders in this regard. State Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda had already given a statement in this regard.
10th-12th students will have to come for practicals
The Haryana government has extended the holidays of children's schools. In view of the increasing cold, the Education Department has announced holidays till January 15. Schools will open in the state from January 16. According to the orders issued by the Education Department, as per the norms of CBSE, ICSE Board etc., students can be called to school for practicals as per the schedule set for board classes (10th and 12th).
There was hailstorm along with rain
It rained all day on Friday in Punjab and Himachal. Due to this, the cold has increased in Haryana and North India. There was a change in the weather since morning. Due to strong winds, trees broke down at many places and solar panels installed in the fields were also damaged. Hailstorm damaged vegetable and mustard crops in about 70 villages of Hisar, Bhiwani, Fatehabad, Jind and Kaithal.
Schools were closed till January 20 last year
In Haryana, holidays in government schools were extended in the year 2023 due to cold. The Education Department had issued orders to extend holidays for children up to class 3 till January 20. At the same time, the decision on holidays for children of classes 4th and 5th was left to the DC.
