They say that even after continuous meetings by the government, the demands have not been met, due to which they have announced a strike.
Giving information, Union President Resham Singh has said that the government has not yet met our demands. Neither the temporary employees have been made permanent nor the kilometer scheme has been stopped. Apart from this, we are once again going on strike on 6, 7, 8 January regarding many other demands and if the demands are not met, then this strike will be indefinite.

He has also told that before this, the Chief Minister's residence will also be surrounded on January 7. The workers will start the struggle from December 18. First of all, gate rallies will be held on December 18, then on December 22, all the MLAs and ministers of Punjab will go outside their homes and give them the memorandum of demands and then after the gate rally on January 2, a three-day Chakka Jam will be held.
