Due to lack of moisture in the air, the fog has become dry. Due to this, according to the weather alert issued, fog was not seen for two days. At the same time, there is a possibility of rain in different states of North India at the end of the week. In this sequence, light rain is expected in Punjab.
The air of Mandi Gobindgarh is most polluted
At 6 am on Friday, Sector-53 adjacent to Mohali in Chandigarh had the worst AQI. Here AQI was recorded at 248. While the AQI in Sector-25 was 161 and in Sector-22 it was 196. At the same time, the AQI of Mandi Gobindgarh in Punjab has become 273. AQI 261 was recorded in Ludhiana, AQI 235 in Jalandhar, AQI 231 in Amritsar, AQI 213 in Patiala. While the lowest AQI 131 was recorded in Rupnagar bordering Himachal and AQI 159 in Bathinda.

The maximum temperature in Patiala on Thursday was recorded at 27.8 degrees. Dense fog will prevail today. The temperature will remain between 11 to 28 degrees.
