As the month of March ends, the heat is continuously increasing in North India. In many states the temperature has reached close to 40 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain, storm and lightning in many states like Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh till April 5.
Heat wave warning in many states
Along with this, according to the latest update released by the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of severe heat in many parts of the country between April and June. During this period, heat wave is likely to last for about 10 to 20 days. There is a possibility of heat wave in different areas of Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Karnataka during April 2 to 4. Similar conditions have been predicted over Rayalaseema from April 1 to 4 and Telangana from April 1 to 2. Hot weather is likely to occur in Odisha from 2 to 4 April, Maharashtra from 1 to 3 April and Marathwada from 1 and 2 April.
Warning of rain and snowfall at these places
Meanwhile, the weather department has predicted heat wave in several other states like Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Karnataka and Maharashtra. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain and snowfall at many places in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand from April 3 to 6.There is a possibility of light rain in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh during April. Along with this, there is a possibility of rain in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Sikkim between April 1 and 4.
