Second Western Disturbance is becoming active in Punjab. Due to which the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in Punjab for the next four days. The weather department has predicted rain from Saturday to Tuesday. Especially on Saturday and Sunday, there is a possibility of rain along with hail in many districts of Punjab.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in entire Punjab today. In which Orange alert has been issued in Pathankot, Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Rupnagar, Mohali and Patiala and Yellow alert has been issued in entire Punjab. According to which there is a possibility of rain in most areas of Punjab. Along with the rain, strong winds can also blow.
This alert of the department has increased the concern of the farmers of Punjab. Wheat harvesting has already been delayed due to rain and humid night temperatures, but it is unlikely to be delayed further. Besides, farmers are also afraid of crop damage due to hailstorm. There is a possibility of thunderstorm, lightning, hailstorm and strong winds in the states and union territories including Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and North-West Uttar Pradesh.
The maximum temperature in Delhi is likely to drop by four to five degrees Celsius in the next two days.
