Char Dham Yatra of Uttarakhand has started from today. The doors of Kedarnath were opened at 6:55 am. During this, flowers were showered from the helicopter. Baba Kedar's Panchmukhi Doli has reached Kedarnath with the cheers of thousands of devotees. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami also arrived with his wife for darshan.
More than 22.15 lakh devotees have registered
Apart from Kedarnath, the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri will also open today. Whereas darshan in Badrinath temple will start from May 12. So far, more than 22.15 lakh devotees have registered for Char Dham Yatra. Last year a record 55 lakh people had visited. The Meteorological Department has issued yellow alert in many areas of Uttarakhand. The Meteorological Department has predicted light and moderate rain in Uttarkashi, Tehri, Pauri, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Almora.
Temple decorated with more than 20 quintals of flowers
Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham are lavishly decorated with flowers. This time Kedarnath temple has been decorated with more than 20 quintals of flowers. This time devotees will go through Aastha Path to have darshan in the Dham. There is a provision of benches to sit on the Aastha Path. Also, a rain shelter was built to protect from rain and snowfall.
Badrinath
The Meteorological Department has also issued a yellow alert for Badrinath for the next 4 days. There is a possibility of strong winds, rain, hail and thunder and lightning for 4 days.
Kedarnath
Kedarnath is situated in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for here also. According to the forecast of IMD, there is a possibility of lightning and hail at isolated places in Rudraprayag today i.e. from May 10 to May 13. At the same time, strong gusty winds can blow at a speed of 40 to 50 km in many areas.
Yamunotri-Gangotri
Yamunotri-Gangotri is located in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of thunder, lightning and hail at some places here today. In some areas, strong gusty winds can blow at a speed of 40 to 50 km.
