The body of a photographer missing for 2 days in Kapurthala, Punjab, was found today under suspicious circumstances. The deceased has been identified as Tikshit. Tikshit was a resident of New Mall Town Sultanpur Lodhi. Marks of serious injuries have been found on the body of the deceased.
The deceased had gone to cover the Lohri program
Giving information, Tikshit's brother Amrit told that his brother had gone to cover a program related to Lohri on January 13. After that his brother came back home and left the house again on a motorcycle at around 10 pm. But Tikshit did not return home that night. Since then his mobile phone was also going off.
After which he searched for him at his own level at relatives' and other places but he was not found. In this regard, the police was also informed in other police stations including Sultanpur Lodhi police station. But today Shekhupur councilor and senior deputy mayor Rahul Kumar told that he had sent an injured youth to the civil hospital by ambulance, who died.
Suspicion of murder during robbery
Amrit has expressed apprehension that his brother was murdered during robbery and not in an accident. Because his motorcycle was also lying on the roadside and his mobile phone and money were also missing. Kapurthala SHO Bikramjit Singh Chauhan said that information regarding the incident was received this morning and he is seriously investigating the whole matter. CCTV cameras installed nearby are being scanned. Further action will be taken only after the post-mortem report comes.
