Did B.Tech from IIT Bombay
Sarvesh Mehtani is a resident of Panchkula, Chandigarh. His father Parvesh is an officer in the Income Tax Department and mother Raj Bala is employed in the Industrial Training Department of the Haryana Government. Sarvesh had secured 10 CGPA in 10th and 95.4% marks in 12th. Then in 2017, he topped the JEE Advanced exam with 339 marks. He obtained a B.Tech degree in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Bombay in 2021. These days he is working as a quantitative trader in Optiver.
Became a topper with sports, music and cartoons
Sarvesh Mehtani wanted to make it to the top 10 in JEE. He himself did not expect AIR 1. To reduce stress during JEE exam preparation, he liked to play badminton, listen to music and watch cartoons on TV. JEE topper Sarvesh Mehtani never considered his studies a burden. Every night before sleeping, he used to revise the topics studied throughout the day. He used to study for 5-6 hours daily and 8-10 hours on holidays.
Started career from Google
Even after doing Computer Science Engineering from IIT Bombay, JEE topper Sarvesh Mehtani did not stop. He understands the importance of learning something new and global exposure. He started his career with an internship at Google. He was working there as a research intern (Google Jobs). At present, his profile is that of a quantitative trader. He develops high-frequency strategies to trade financial derivatives.
