The Punjab government has given permission to prosecute Sirsa Dera chief Gurmeet Singh Ram Rahim in cases related to sacrilege. Permission has been given to prosecute Ram Rahim in three cases. Now, his trial will be held in Faridkot court. It was necessary to take permission from the government to prosecute under section 295A.
The way is clear to bring him to Punjab
Now, the way to bring Ram Rahim, who is lodged in Rohtak's Sunaria jail, to Punjab seems clear. The government took this decision when, while hearing a petition filed by the Punjab government about four days ago, the Supreme Court lifted the ban imposed by the Punjab and Haryana High Court on hearing the cases related to sacrilege. Along with this, a notice was issued to the Dera chief in this case and a reply was sought in four weeks.
The matter has been raised in the assembly
Let us tell you that on Monday, the Punjab government has given permission to prosecute Ram Rahim and others related to the sacrilege of Shri Guru Granth Sahib in 2015. This matter of sacrilege was also raised in the Punjab Assembly. Congress MLAs had raised this issue.
They said that the file of Deramukhi has been lying in the CM office for about two and a quarter years. The CM has the Home Department. But the government is not giving approval to it. At the same time, Aam Aadmi Party MLA Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh also raised this issue in the Assembly. However, CM Bhagwant had clearly said that new facts have come to light in this case. Also, appropriate action will be taken in this matter.
These three cases will be run
Gurmeet will be prosecuted for stealing the holy Bir of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in Burj Jawahar Singh Wala in July 2015, tearing parts of Sri Guru Granth Sahib and throwing it in the streets after a few days and firing on protesters in Bargari after tearing parts of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in Behbal Kalan in October 2015.
