Little did the man know that his childhood photo of taking a bath could take away his happiness and peace. Google considered this photo as child sexual abuse and blocked his account. Have approached the court to get the account reopened.

According to the information, computer engineer Neel Shukla has had to face action from Google. He had uploaded his 2 year old photo on Google Drive. His grandmother was bathing him. Neel Shukla's Google account has been blocked due to policy violation.
Filed a petition in Gujarat High Court
According to the information, the account was blocked in April last year and he appealed to get Google's account running again. He did so under the Grievance Redressal System, but did not get any relief from the company. After this he filed a petition in the Gujarat High Court on 12 March.
In the petition, Neel said that Google has considered childhood photos as child abuse, and everything has been blocked. He is not able to use his Gmail account. Because of this they are facing huge losses in business.
Help sought from central government also
According to the information, Neel also went to Gujarat Police to get the account started. He also sought help from the Science and Technology Department of the Central Government, but nothing happened. In such a situation he had to come to the court.
The petitioner demanded an immediate hearing in this matter as Google has sent a notice to him. In this notice, Google said that due to the account not being active, all their data related to Google will be deleted in April this year.
Notice issued to Google
The High Court has issued a notice to Google India Private Limited in this matter. Justice Vaibhavi D Nanavati has issued a notice to Google, Central and State Government on March 15, whose reply has to be given by March 26, 2024.
Google's policy regarding children's safety
Under the Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Policy, it is prohibited to use Google's services for the exploitation of children. By doing this your Google account can be closed.
Child sexual content, even if it is in the form of cartoons, can be considered a violation of Google's policy. Apart from this, action can also be taken on content related to prostitution, sexual exploitation of minors, child trafficking etc.
