Punjab is once again feeling cold with rain and hailstorm. The temperature has dropped after heavy rains in the last 24 hours. According to the Meteorological Center, the average maximum temperature has dropped by 4.7 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours. However, it is 1.8 degrees Celsius below normal in the state. The highest temperature in the state was recorded at 25.1 degrees Celsius in Bathinda.
Amritsar received 36 mm of rain
The weather is expected to remain clear today. According to the Meteorological Center, most of the districts of Punjab received rain in the last 24 hours. Amritsar received 36 mm, Ludhiana received 6 mm, Patiala received 9 mm, Faridkot received 11 mm, Hoshiarpur received 15.5 mm, SBS Nagar received 5.3 mm of rain.
New Western Disturbance will be active from 24
Along with this, no alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department today. After which there is a possibility of a slight increase in temperature today. According to the Meteorological Center, a new Western Disturbance is becoming active from February 24. Its effect will be seen in the hilly areas of Himachal. From February 24, there may be snowfall along with rain in the hilly areas.
Its effect will be felt in the plains on February 26. There is a possibility of rain again in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh on February 26.
