National Highway Authority (NHI) has launched One Vehicle, One Fastag campaign. To avoid delays and inconvenience to people at toll plazas, NHI has decided to scrap all Fastags after January 31. If someone's KYC is not complete, he should complete his KYC in FASTAG by 31st January.
Let us tell you that its purpose is to remove the irregularities in Fastag and to provide easy transportation facility to the people at the toll plaza. Fastags with incomplete KYC along with outstanding money will be invalidated or blacklisted by the bank after January 31, 2024.
Work is being done as per RBI instructions
This step had to be taken because NHAI had received complaints of multiple vehicles being linked to one FASTag or multiple vehicles having the same FASTag. The work of updating Fastag with KYC is being done as per the guidelines of Reserve Bank of India.
Must have only one FASTag
People should complete the KYC process in their new FASTag as soon as possible so that they do not face any inconvenience after January 31. Along with this, they will have to keep only one Fastag on their vehicle. People will have to cancel all the previously issued Fastags from the banks. People who have more than one Fastag on their vehicle will have to complete KYC in the new Fastag only.
