Monsoon will arrive in Kerala on June 1. While the scorching heat has engulfed the entire North India, a relief news has emerged for the people. Actually the Meteorological Department says that there will be rain in Punjab-Haryana around June 28. Due to which people will get relief from the heat.
There is no possibility of rain in both the states but after the arrival of monsoon in Kerala on June 1, there is some hope of rain in Punjab-Haryana.Mumbai Meteorological Department Director Sunil Kamble said that the south-west monsoon has reached Andaman Islands and is going to reach Kerala by May 31. He further said that monsoon is expected to arrive in Mumbai between June 10 and 11.
Avoid heat by doing this
While giving information, the Director of Chandigarh Meteorological Department has said that till now the forecast is saying that monsoon will arrive in Kerala on June 1 and there will be rain in Punjab and Haryana.Due to heat wave, the temperature has reached 45 degrees Celsius or even beyond. In such a situation, it is important for people to drink adequate amount of water and stay in the shade to avoid heat. It is advised to carry umbrella, water and wear light colored clothes while going out.
Temperature crosses 47 in Faridkot
There was severe heat in many districts of Punjab on Sunday. Heat wave also prevailed during the day in Ludhiana, Patiala, Bathinda, Amritsar and Faridkot. Due to this there was silence in the streets and markets. According to Meteorological Center Chandigarh, Faridkot was the hottest in Punjab. The day temperature was recorded at 47.4 degrees Celsius, which was six degrees above normal. This was the hottest day of this season.At the same time, the day temperature in Bathinda was 46.9 degrees, which was 5.5 degrees more than normal. Bathinda is experiencing the hottest heat continuously. The day temperature was recorded at 45.2 degrees Celsius in Chandigarh, Pathankot and Amritsar, 45.7 in Patiala, 44.8 in Ludhiana, 42.7 in Jalandhar, 43.4 in Ropar and 44.5 degrees Celsius in Gurdaspur.
