In Canada, a Punjabi youth committed suicide by jumping into Niagara Falls. Canadian Police has confirmed the youth's suicide. The said youth was a resident of village Abbuwal near Ludhiana, whose age is said to be 22 years.
Dead body found after a week
According to the report, the police found the body after about a week. Many dead bodies had already been found in Niagara Falls, which made it very difficult for the police to identify the young man. Therefore he was identified through DNA.
Deceased identified
Before dying, the deceased had kept his mobile phone aside and jumped into the Niagara Falls. The deceased has been identified as Charandeep Singh. According to the information received, Zora Singh's elder son Charandeep had gone to Canada for studies 10 months ago. There he was living with his friends in Brampton, Ontario.
Suddenly disappeared
Zora Singh told that Charandeep used to call home every day. When his call did not come for several days, he took the numbers of his friends and called them. Friends told that Charandeep had gone to Niagara Falls early on Thursday morning saying he was going for work and did not return.
Canadian police reported the death on Wednesday
The father informed the Canadian Police through one of his relatives. After which the Canadian Police filed a missing report of Charandeep and searched for him. Police found Charandeep's body from Niagara Falls. After which the police informed the family about the son's death on Wednesday. The family is in grief after the news of their son's death.
Police have CCTV footage of the incident
When Canadian police examined CCTV footage of the incident site, Charandeep was seen jumping into the Niagara Falls. His body remained lying in water for several days, due to which it could not be identified immediately.
