Monsoon is continuously advancing in Punjab, due to which many districts are receiving heavy rains. In many areas including Zirakpur, Mohali, Rajpura, roads have been waterlogged and pedestrians are facing a lot of problems. The Meteorological Department says that the situation will remain the same for the next 2 to 4 days.

Orange alert has also been issued, which means that this rain can become a disaster instead of relief for the people.
Yellow alert in 7 districts, Orange alert in 7
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain for 14 districts of Punjab. Orange alert has been issued in Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Fatehgarh Sahib, Rupnagar, Patiala, SAS Nagar. While yellow alert has been issued for Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Sangrur, Malerkotla.
Heavy rain alert in 8 districts of Haryana
Monsoon is going to be active in Haryana today. The Meteorological Department has issued orange alert in 8 districts. There is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder here. There will be heavy rain in Mahendragarh, Sirsa and Chandigarh of Haryana during 24 hours. In Mahendragarh and Hisar, two and a half feet of water is standing on the roads, due to which flood like conditions are prevailing there.
Rain in Delhi for next 3 days
According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature is likely to be 30 degrees Celsius in Delhi today with a warning of heavy rain, while the minimum temperature may drop to 25 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature is expected to drop to 29 degrees Celsius with heavy rain on Wednesday, July 3, while the minimum temperature is expected to settle at 26 degrees Celsius. There may be light rain on Thursday also
If we talk about the weather of UP, now monsoon has become active in entire UP. It has been raining intermittently since morning in 10 cities including Lucknow-Bahraich. There was so much rain in Balrampur that houses were flooded, due to which a 5 year old child died due to drowning. House collapsed in Maroha due to 3 days of rain. Due to which an 8 year old child died after getting buried under the debris.

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning to go out only for essential work. Do not stand near trees and hoardings.
