Heat wave alert continues in 13 districts of Punjab for the second consecutive day. These include Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Firozpur, Faridkot, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Fazilka, Moga, Bathinda, Barnala, Mansa, Ludhiana and Sangrur. The temperature will drop from tomorrow 27th June. The average temperature of Punjab has recorded a decline of 0.7 degrees.
Today in Haryana the Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in 8 districts. These include Gurugram, Mahendragarh, Charkhi Dadri, Bhiwani, Rewari, Jhajjar, Rohtak, Hisar. Most of the districts are cloudy. Due to rain and strong winds, the average temperature of Haryana has dropped by 1.4 degrees.
Whereas no change has been seen in Chandigarh. The temperature here remains around 40 degrees. Along with this, it is raining continuously in the central and upper areas of Himachal.
Chances of rain in Punjab, Chandigarh
There is a possibility of light rain at some places in Punjab on June 28-29 and moderate rain in most districts on June 30-July 1. Chandigarh may receive rain with strong winds and thunderstorms from June 27 to 29.
Monsoon situation in the country
The Southwest Monsoon has advanced into North Arabian Sea, some more parts of Gujarat state and Madhya Pradesh and some parts of Southeast Rajasthan.
During the next 3-4 days, monsoon may hit some parts of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, northern parts of Punjab and northern parts of Haryana by June 30.
Heavy rain in Ayodhya, beds and sofas submerged in houses
The wait for monsoon is over in UP. Monsoon entered UP for the first time through Lalitpur in Bundelkhand. There was heavy rain in 10 districts of the state on Wednesday morning. It rained so heavily in Ayodhya that Rampath near Hanumangarhi intersection was filled with water. At the same time, there is waterlogging in 3 localities including Jalawanpura. The houses are filled with 2-3 feet of water. People somehow saved fridges, coolers and furniture. The second rain of the season has exposed the development of Ayodhya.
5 hours rain in Yagraj
It started raining with thunder and lightning in Prayagraj at around 12 o'clock on Tuesday night, which continued till 5 in the morning. Lightning also fell. The temperature was recorded at 29°C at 9 am. Today the weather will remain cold throughout the day and the maximum temperature is expected to be 35 to 36°C.
