Due to Municipal Corporation/Municipal Councils/Nagar Panchayats in Punjab, half day holiday has been declared in all government and non-government schools and colleges in Jalandhar today. Holiday has been declared by the district administration. Due to which government and private schools and colleges will remain closed.
School buses will be used to transport election material and polling staff, which may affect the movement of students. Due to this, the administration has decided to keep the schools closed.
