Due to this, late night Rajpura Police injured a drug smuggler of Bambiha Gang in an encounter. This incident took place in Uppalheri area of Rajpura.
The accused is a prominent member of Bambiha Gang
During checking, Tejinder Singh fired on the Special Cell, during which Tejinder was shot in the leg during retaliation. During this, drugs pills, pistol and cartridges were recovered from the accused. At present, Tejinder Singh has been admitted to a nearby hospital. The injured accused has been identified as Tejinder Singh alias Teji alias Pinka, who was a prominent member of the Bambiha Gang and was active in the drug trade in the state.
5 cases already registered against the accused
At the same time, police officials said that this operation was part of the campaign being run against the Bambiha Gang, which has been started by the Punjab Police to end the drug trade in the state. SSP Dr. Nanak Singh said that Tejinder Singh was an important member of the Bambiha gang and there were already 5 cases registered against him. He was involved in supplying narcotics in the state.
According to the police, the arrest of criminals like Tejinder Singh will not only weaken the Bambiha gang, but will also create fear among other criminals involved in the drug trade. This campaign of the government and police against drugs in the state will be continuously intensified, so that the youth can be saved from drugs and its effective solution can be ensured in the society. Regarding this operation, the Punjab Police has also warned that if any criminal is involved in the drug trade, the police will not spare him under any circumstances and action will be taken with full force to catch him.
