There is a huge change in the temperature of Punjab-Chandigarh after snowfall in the mountains. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in view of the increasing cold. The average temperature of Punjab has increased by 1.5 degrees and Chandigarh by 0.4 degrees. Amritsar was the coldest city in the plains, where the temperature was recorded at 5.4 degrees.
Cold wave alert issued
According to the warning of the Meteorological Department, a cold wave alert has been issued in Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ferozepur, Fazilka, Faridkot, Rupnagar. But there is no possibility of rain at the moment. Due to which the weather is likely to remain dry in Punjab-Chandigarh.
Cold wave warning for 4 days in Haryana
It will be very cold in the coming days. According to the Meteorological Department, Western Disturbance is active. Due to which a cold wave alert has been issued till December 13. Meanwhile, there will be a drop of 2 to 3 degrees in the temperature of Punjab-Chandigarh.
The effect of continuous snowfall on the mountains is also visible in Haryana. With the fall in night temperature, weather experts have now issued a cold wave alert from today. This is expected to increase the cold at night. The minimum temperature of Hisar was the lowest for the third day in 24 hours.
Yellow alert of cold wave issued in Haryana
On Monday, the minimum temperature here reached 5.4 degrees. However, it has increased. Now due to cold wave, day temperature along with night temperature may also fall. At the same time, the possibility of smog has also started again. According to IMD, cold wave may continue for the next four days. Yellow alert of cold wave has been issued in Panchkula, Mahendragarh, Rewari, Mewat, Palwal, Hisar, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri.
