A very powerful earthquake in Myanmar has caused terrible devastation in the city. According to the United States Geological Survey, at least 14 more tremors have occurred in Myanmar after the 7.7 magnitude earthquake. The airport has been completely closed and flights have been canceled. Also, the Thai government has declared an emergency and rescue operations are going on.
10 people have died so far in Bangkok
At least 10 people have died after the earthquake in Bangkok. Bangkok Deputy Governor Tavida Kamolvej confirmed this at 10 pm local time. Also, 16 people are injured. While 101 people are missing.
Emergency declared after earthquake
According to the report, this is the biggest earthquake in Myanmar and Thailand in 200 years. Due to heavy devastation, emergency has been imposed in 6 states of Myanmar and entire Thailand.
India sent help
India has sent more than 15 tonnes of relief material through C-130J aircraft to help Myanmar, which includes tents, sleeping bags, food, hygiene kits and essential medicines.

According to the National Center for Seismology, another tremor of 4.2 magnitude hit Myanmar at 11:56 pm on Friday night. Experts say that tremors can be felt further, which can worsen the situation. However, in view of the situation, an alert has been issued in Myanmar and Thailand.
Earthquake in Afghanistan
Earthquake tremors were also felt in Afghanistan today i.e. Saturday morning at around 5:16 am. Its intensity was measured at around 4.7 on the Richter scale. Although there has been no loss of life or damage to property so far. The earthquake has frightened not only South Asia but the entire world.
