Punjab National Bank has announced a strike on 26 and 27 December. This information has been given by the All India Federation of Punjab National Bank. This strike is being done to find solutions to problems like lack of salary, National Pension Scheme, tax on allowances, discrimination in organizations, work and life balance.
These are the main demands of the officers
The All India Punjab National Bank Officers Federation has also accused the PNB management and their related officials of ignoring repeated communication. According to the General Secretary of the Federation of Punjab State, the organization has decided to go on a 2-day national strike under the leadership of the National General Secretary.
There are other problems of the organization as well
The bank is discriminating in the transfer of officers and profit management. He has also identified the problems in performance evaluation through digital tools like Udaan.
Banking services will be affected
Due to the strike on 26 and 27 December, banking services across the country will be affected. The federation has also asked the government and PNB management to pay attention to its demands.
Some of the demands are:
. 5-day banking week should be implemented so that there is a balance between work and life.
. There should be full recruitment to meet the shortage of human resources.
. Freedom should be given to choose the pension fund manager under NPS.
. The bank should pay the tax levied on allowances.
. Medical assistance should be given for the period from 1 November 2022 to 31 December 2023.
