The weather is going to remain dry in Punjab from today for seven days. According to the Meteorological Department, Western Disturbance has become active. Due to which there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in many areas of Himachal Pradesh. Fresh snowfall also occurred in some areas. After which mild cold has increased in the plains. According to the Meteorological Center, the direction of the winds is from the mountains to the plains. After fresh snowfall, the day and night temperatures will drop by 2 to 3 degrees in the coming days.
AQI below 200 in Chandigarh
The Air Quality Index (AQI) has once again crossed 200 in Ludhiana and Amritsar. While in other cities it is between 100 to 200. But some relief has been seen in Chandigarh. There has been a slight change in air pollution due to the wind direction towards the west. AQI in Chandigarh remains below 200.
Snowfall for 3 days on high mountains in Himachal
Rain and snowfall is expected on the high mountains of Himachal Pradesh for the next three days. Due to this, the high peaks of five districts Kinnaur, Kullu, Lahaul Spiti, Kangra and Chamba can be covered with a white sheet of snow. But the drought that has been going on for two months in the other seven districts is not likely to end.
Weather changed in Haryana due to Western Disturbance
The weather has changed in Haryana due to Western Disturbance activated on the mountains. Light fog has started to cover many districts in the morning and evening. Also, a drop in mercury is also being seen. A drop in the minimum night temperature has been seen in 24 hours.
Fangal storm will hit Puducherry and Tamil Nadu today
Fangal storm, which arose from the Bay of Bengal, will hit the coast between Karaikal of Puducherry and Mahabalipuram district of Tamil Nadu by Saturday evening. The Meteorological Department has predicted winds at a speed of 90 km per hour during this period. Heavy rain is also expected in some areas of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
Due to this, all schools and colleges will remain closed on Saturday. People have also been advised not to step out of their homes. However, the effect of the storm started showing from November 28 itself with the onset of rain and strong winds in the coastal areas.
