There will be recruitment on 17,727 posts of SSC CGL: The application process for recruitment on 17,727 posts of Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) of Staff Selection Commission (SSC) started from Monday. Notification has been released by SSC on the website. The online application process will continue till July 24. Fees can be deposited till 11 pm on 25th July and amendments in the form can be made on 10th to 11th August.Group B and C posts will be filled in Central Government ministries, departments, offices through SSC-CGL.
Recruitment will be done for 34 posts
In this, under Group B, Assistant Section Officer, Inspector Central Excise, Inspector Preventive Officer, Inspector Examiner, Assistant Information Officer, Sub Inspector in CBI and NIA, Sub Inspector in Narcotics Bureau, Tax Assistant and under Group C, Auditor, Accountant, Tax Assistant. There will be recruitment on 17,727 possible vacancies for a total of 34 posts.
Age limit is 18 to 32 years
Vacancies can be increased or decreased later. The age limit for application is 18 to 32 years. Age relaxation is given to SC, ST, OBC and PWBD category candidates. Candidates having graduate degree from a recognised institute can apply for Group B and C posts. Detailed guidelines are on the site.
The exam will be of 200 marks
CGL Tier-1 exam will be held in September-October and Tier-2 exam will be held in December. Tier-1 exam will be of 200 marks. There will be 100 questions in it. There will be 25 questions each in General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Comprehension. Half marks will be deducted for wrong answer.
Exam will be held in these cities
Under SSC Madhya Kshetra Prayagraj, examination centers will be set up in 13 cities of UP and Bihar. This includes the cities of Bhagalpur, Muzaffarnagar, Patna, Purnia in Bihar and Agra, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Lucknow, Meerut, Prayagraj and Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.
