The Taliban government of Afghanistan has released a complete list of strict rules for women for the first time after completion of three years. Under this, women will no longer be able to go to public places without covering their faces. Not only this, his voice has also been banned in public places.
This step has been taken under the ministry formed for the promotion of virtue and prevention of vice after the Taliban recaptured Afghanistan in 2021. Under the new rules, there is now a ban on music, movement of single female passengers and mixing of women with non-men.
Taliban issued laws for the first time
The recently released 114-page document elaborates on the laws of bad and good qualities in 35 paragraphs. This is the first time the rules have been formally issued since the Taliban came to power. Ministry spokesperson Maulvi Abdul Ghafar Farooq said in a press conference on Thursday that we assure you that this Islamic law will greatly help in promoting virtues and eliminating evil.

It is mandatory to cover your body in public places-Women must wear a burqa or Arab-style hijab, and their clothing cannot be tight, short, or thin. They must cover themselves even in front of non-Muslim men and women to avoid "corruption

It is forbidden to sing, recite or read aloud in public places (as their sounds are considered intimate)
This prevents women from seeing men to whom they are not related
Women are banned from public parks, public baths, and historic places like monuments and sightseeing. They are also not allowed to go to gyms or participate in sports.
Women are not allowed to access healthcare delivered by men
Women are not allowed to be involved in politics .
Violation may lead to consequences
Violating any of these laws can result in punishments such as flogging or stoning.UNAMA documented that 274 men, 58 women and two boys had been subjected to public flogging between November 2022 and April 2023, and 103 women had been sentenced to such punishments as of May.
