Indians going to Dubai are facing difficulty in getting visa. The reason for this is Dubai's new visa rules. Documents like hotel booking, bank statement and return ticket have been made mandatory in the new rules. However, there have been cases of visa rejection even after having the documents.
Indian travelers are worried about the increase in Dubai visa rejections. In recent times, the number of Indians getting visa rejections for Dubai has increased. The reason for this is Dubai's new visa rules. Dubai's strict visa rules - especially the documentary and financial requirements - have increased scrutiny. As a result, the visa rejection rate has also increased. The result is that out of every 100 visa applications for Dubai, five to six applications are being rejected.
Compliance with Immigration laws
The UAE has made changes in the application rules to prevent visa abuse and ensure compliance with immigration laws. Under these rules, the applicant is required to provide complete information on other criteria including proof of stay, return ticket and minimum bank balance. Apart from this, those who are staying with friends or relatives will have to submit additional documents from their hosts, such as rental agreements, UAE ID and residence visa. Due to this, Indian travelers are facing difficulties in entering Dubai.
Minimum balance in bank account is also required
Visa applicants for Dubai must also maintain a minimum balance in their bank accounts. This depends on the duration of the visa. 5,000 dirhams are required for a two-month visa and 3,000 dirhams for a three-month visa. This, along with the strict document scanning process, makes travelling to Dubai difficult.
Many visa applicants are complaining of rejection despite submitting all the documents. Due to this, Indian travelers as well as travel agents are suffering losses. Travel agents say that the number of visa rejections has suddenly increased a lot. This is not only causing loss of visa fees, but also loss of pre-booked flight tickets and hotel bookings.
Experts say that before the new rules, the rejection rate for Dubai visa was only one to two percent. After the implementation of the new rules, at least 5-6 visas out of 100 applications are being rejected every day. Visa applications are being rejected even when confirmed flight tickets and hotel stay details are attached.
