The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding smog in 15 districts of Punjab. Orange alert has been issued in 8 districts of the state and yellow alert in 7 districts. Due to continuous burning of stubble, the air of Punjab has become very polluted. Due to which people are facing problems due to smog in the morning and night.
Alert issued for these districts
According to the Meteorological Department, smog can be seen in a total of 15 districts of Punjab today. Orange alert has been issued in 8 districts Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Barnala, Sangrur, Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala, Malerkotla. At the same time, yellow alert has been issued regarding smog in 7 districts SS Nagar, Rupnagar, Nawanshahr, Hoshiarpur, Tarn Taran, Amritsar and Gurdaspur.
AQI of major cities
5 districts of Punjab are still on orange alert. In which 230 AQI was recorded in Amritsar, 227 in Jalandhar, 221 in Ludhiana, 220 in Mandi Gobindgarh and 210 in Patiala. At the same time, the pollution level in Sector 22 of Chandigarh was 232, in Sector 25 it was 257 and Sector 53 was in the orange zone.
