Punjab government increased the amount of PM Awas Yojana, you will get 2.5 lakh rupees to build your house

Many schemes are run by the Government of India for the needy. Due to which poor people get a lot of benefit. At the same time, there are many people living in India who do not have their own house. But the government has run a similar scheme. Whose name is Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2.0. Which is now going to be implemented in Punjab as well. Earlier the Punjab Government and the Central Government together used to give Rs 1.75 lakh. But now the amount has been increased to 2.5 lakhs.

In such a situation, the needy in the state are going to get a lot of benefit from this scheme. People are now going to get financial assistance to build their house. So that they can build their house with Aras. Let us tell you that Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2.0 has got the green signal from the Finance Department. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, people in Punjab were earlier given assistance of Rs 1,75,000. In which 25 thousand rupees were given by the Punjab Government and one and a half lakh rupees by the Central Government.

Punjab Government will give 1 lakh rupees

But now in this scheme, the Punjab Government will give 1 lakh rupees instead of 25000 rupees. 1.5 lakh rupees will be given by the central government. That is, in total you will get 2.5 lakh rupees. Under the scheme, the beneficiaries are given money to build 2 rooms, a bathroom and a kitchen.

Benefits will be available if the annual income is 3 lakhs

But the government has kept some eligibility criteria to take advantage of the PM Awas Yojana. Eligibility criteria have to be fulfilled to get the benefit. Under this scheme, benefits will be given to those people whose annual income is up to 3 lakh rupees.

45 square yards of land is mandatory

Along with this, they should also have 45 square yards of land. Apart from this, those who have not got the benefit of any other scheme of the Center or State in the last 5 years will be given benefits by the government.
