In the last two weeks, Sara Ali Khan's two back-to-back films 'Murder Mubarak' and 'Ae Watan Mere Watan' have been released on OTT. The actress has tried to do something new through both these films. While 'Murder Mubarak', released on March 15, is a suspense thriller film, in 'Ae Watan Mere Watan', released on March 21, the actress has played the role of freedom fighter Usha Mehta.
Now in a recent interview the actress has also expressed her views on politics. In an interview given to Netflix India, when the actress was asked whether she wanted to join politics? So she said, yes, she can do this in the future.' Very few people know that Sara has taken a degree in History and Political Science from Columbia University.
This is not the first time that the actress has expressed her interest in politics. Earlier in an interview given in 2019, Sara had also said that she has a degree in History and Political Science, so she will enter politics someday. She had also said that this is not like a backup plan nor is she leaving Bollywood. As long as she gets work in Bollywood, she will keep working here.
Mahatma Gandhi's great grandson praised Sara
Meanwhile, Mahatma Gandhi's great grandson Tushar Gandhi has praised Sara's performance in the film 'Ae Watan Mere Watan'. He tweeted and wrote, 'I have grown up with Ushaben Mehta ji. He also mentored me in my youth. I had heard tales of his exploits of running the secret Congress Radio during the Quit India Movement. When I saw ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’ it all came alive again. Thank you Sara Ali Khan. To bring Ushaben back to life.
On the work front, Sara's next film is Anurag Basu's 'Metro: These Days'. It will be released on September 13 this year. Apart from this, the actress will also be seen in an untitled film of 'Mission Mangal' fame director Jagan Shakti.
