Punjab Revenue Association has declared a holiday on Friday i.e. today also. Punjab Revenue Association has come out in support of Tehsildar Sukhcharan Singh in protest against his arrest by Vigilance. At the same time, in protest against the arrest, Punjab Revenue Association had also declared a mass holiday on 28th, due to which Tehsil complexes across Punjab were closed on 28th as well.
Let us tell you that terming Sukhcharan's arrest on Wednesday as illegal, Revenue Officer Union on Thursday asked the union members Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar, Sub-Registrar and DRO posted across the state to take a mass leave and reach outside Barnala Vigilance Office as a mark of protest.
Where, terming their arrest as illegal, a protest was also held against Vigilance. During this, the union officials also tried to meet Sukhcharan in the custody of Vigilance to know the truth of the matter, but they were not allowed to meet him. Angered by this, the union announced to extend the strike further and also announced to take mass leave on Friday!
