Punjabi actress Neeru Bajwa reached Amritsar court today to protest against the Punjabi film Boohe Bariyan. According to the information, a case was filed against him on behalf of Valmiki brotherhood for some objectionable scenes. However Neeru Bajwa has apologised. On behalf of Valmiki Samaj, he was asked to go to Ram Tirtha and bow down and apologize. Along with this, the same order was given by the court to Neeru Bajwa to go to Ramtirth and bow down and apologise.
The case was registered on 20 September
A case was registered against Boohe Bariyaan director Uday Pratap Singh, writer Jagdeep Waring and Neeru Bajwa on 20 September 2023. Along with this, later a demonstration was also held on behalf of Valmiki Samaj and a demand was made to remove the scenes shown against Valmiki Samaj from the film and demand an apology. However, after that Neeru Bajwa shared a video and apologised to Valmiki Samaj.
Demand for apology
Today Neeru Bajwa came to appear in Amritsar court in the same case. Neeru Bajwa bowed his head at the Golden Temple before appearing and took blessings. The director and writer of the film had already apologised by bowing their heads in Ramtirath but Valmiki Samaj had demanded that Neeru Bajwa should also go there and apologize. After which today the court also gave the same orders.
