70 thousand vehicles pass every day
More than 70 thousand vehicles pass through this toll plaza in a day. The daily income of this toll plaza is about 70 lakh rupees. Workers Union head Darshan Singh Ladi, while presiding over the meeting, said that the demands of the workers are not being met for a long time. Due to which this decision has been taken.
Decision taken when demands were not met
Darshan Singh said that for many months meetings were being held with the company officials regarding their demands, but till date their demands have not been met. No attention is being paid to this by the company.
Other facilities including government holidays are not being given
Darshan Singh Ladi said that no government holidays are being given to the employees working at the toll plaza and neither is any deduction being made in their PF. He said that the said company is not providing any ESI and welfare schemes to the toll employees. This is a direct violation of the rights of the employees.
