Punjab government has given a big relief to the students studying in government schools. The government has now started pick and drop facility for the students. Students will get a lot of benefit from this. More than 10 thousand students will be able to take advantage of this initiative of the government.
Drop out in schools will be reduced
Actually, the government is taking the initiative of pick and drop bus service so that student drop out i.e. leaving the school can be reduced. This will not only provide relief to the students in commuting, but they will also feel safe while traveling in the bus.
Service will start in 200 schools of the state
Education Minister Harjot Bains said that this initiative will start in 200 schools of Punjab. In which 118 are from School of Eminence. There are 10,448 students studying in these schools. In which 7698 are girls and 2740 are boys. This facility will be made available to all of them.
Currently students from so many districts are taking advantage
The Education Minister said that S.G.R.M. located in Zira of Ferozepur district. 712 students of the girls school are taking advantage of the bus facility. After them, 645 girls of the government school situated on Mall Road, Bathinda, 466 of Nehru Garden Girls School, Jalandhar, 399 of Kotkapura, 300 of Anandpur Sahib government school and 200 girl students of Fatehgarh Sahib Girls School, Gobindgarh School are taking advantage of it.
