The Punjab government has approved two one-time settlement schemes for industrialists in the cabinet meeting. Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sondh gave this information after the cabinet meeting. He said that the first scheme is the Land Enhancement Scheme, in which industrialists will have to pay the outstanding amount with 8 percent interest. At the same time, compounding interest and penalty have been waived under this scheme.
The scheme will continue till December 31
At the same time, the second scheme is the OTS scheme related to the principal amount. In this scheme also 8 percent interest will have to be paid. Two help counters will also be set up for the convenience of the people. Both the schemes will remain in force till December 31. The government hopes that more than 4 thousand people will benefit from this scheme.
A new industry policy will be brought in Punjab soon
He said that a new industry policy will be brought soon. The government is trying to make it better than other states of the country. Ludhiana businessman and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora were also present in the meeting. Before the meeting, he met Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and discussed the problems related to the traders.
