Punjab Police's senior IPS officer (ADGP Law and Order) Gurinder Singh Dhillon has resigned from the job. He has taken VRS (Voluntary Retirement Scheme) after 30 years of service. Dhillon himself has shared this information on X. He said that I feel free from the cage.
Gurinder Singh Dhillon is a 1997 batch IPS officer. There is also talk that ADGP Gurinder Singh Dhillon may join some political party. This is not the first time that a senior officer has taken VRS. Earlier, VRS was taken by IAS officer Parampal Kaur. After this he joined Bharatiya Janata Party.
It is being told that Gurinder Singh Dhillon was going to retire in the month of May this year. But before that he has taken VRS.
