In Abohar, Punjab, on Thursday morning, a PRTC bus collided with a tractor trolley near Malout Road, Govindgarh. After the collision, the bus broke the railing of Ober Bridge and fell down. The drivers of the bus and tractor trolley were injured in this accident. While the condition of the other two is critical, they have been referred to Faridkot Medical Center. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and started investigation.
Collision with tractor trolley due to lights being off
Bus driver Gurpreet Singh told that today at around 5:15 am he was going from Abohar towards Malot, but as soon as he reached near Govindgarh, suddenly the lights of his bus went off. Due to the lights being off, he could not see the tractor going ahead on the road and his bus collided with the tractor trolley.
Bus fell from 4 feet height
Due to which both the vehicles went out of control and the bus broke the railing of Ober Bridge and fell from a height of about 4 feet and overturned. In this incident, apart from the bus driver Gurpreet Singh, Bhagat Singh and Sukhpal Singh, residents of Rajasthan, who were riding on the tractor trolley, were injured.
15 passengers were sitting in the bus
According to Gurpreet Singh, about 15 passengers were sitting in the bus at the time of the incident. One of the female passengers also suffered minor injuries, although she has now been discharged from the hospital. Whereas Bhagat Singh and Sukhpal Singh were referred forward. It is a matter of relief that at the time of the incident the bus was not at a high height on the bridge, otherwise there could have been a huge loss of life. After the incident, everyone was brought to the government hospital for treatment from where Bhagat Singh and Sukhpal Singh were referred.
