Taking a major decision, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Trust Board of Andhra Pradesh has passed a proposal to remove all non-Hindu employees from its organization. This decision has been taken to maintain the sanctity of the temple and respect the religious sentiments of the devotees.
TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu announced this decision after the meeting. He clearly stated that the holy services performed in the Tirupati Balaji temple should remain in the hands of people following Hinduism only.
This is why this decision was taken
The temple administration wants all its activities to be completely in accordance with Hindu traditions. Therefore it has been decided that no non-Hindu person will be given any important responsibility in the temple. This will ensure that the religious beliefs of the temple will be fully followed.
