Former Punjab Pradesh Congress President Navjot Sidhu has raised questions on the excise policy of the Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab and Delhi. He has named it Chori aur Seenajori. Sidhu said that this is a big theft and censorship is being done in an attempt to justify it.
If the policy was wrong it would have been withdrawn
He said that when the Aam Aadmi Party government was formed in Delhi, it had said that liquor shops would not open near schools, colleges, and religious places, but after two and a half months they started selling liquor on the roadside. Sidhu said that if the policy was wrong then it had to be withdrawn, but if it was right then it would not have been withdrawn. Surprisingly, this wrong policy was implemented in Punjab too. Increased the income of liquor contractors and reduced the income of the state.
This policy is worth four crores
Sidhu said that the excise policy is not worth Rs 200-300 crore but four thousand crore and the scam can be even bigger than this. Questioning Kejriwal, he said that those who talk about increasing the income of Punjab by Rs 5 thousand crore, adding Rs 20 thousand crore income from sand to the government treasury and peace in the state, are not visible today.
People's hard-earned money is being looted
Sidhu said that Bhagwant Mann is my younger brother, this is not a personal fight, and the promises made to Punjab have not been fulfilled. No one has answers to all the questions I asked. The hard-earned money of the people of Punjab is being looted, for which they will continue to fight.
